Spruceton Trail

  There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Catskill Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. A visit to New York is not complete without some hiking. Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, Spruceton Trail in Greene County, New York is just what you need.
Spruceton Trail is a trail quite far from Kingston but what a great place for hiking it is. Camping is available at Phoenicia Black Bear Campground & RV Park, and
    get yourself into a kayak and hit East Kill River. All year is a magnificent time in the Catskill Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. If you're popping by Spruceton Trail from Hensonville, you won't be the only one.
Why not camp at Sleepy Hollow Camp Site if you're here at Spruceton Trail, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on West Kill River. Near Spruceton Trail you locate Taylor Hollow which is a fine site to pop by. Mine Kill State Park is a scenic site any time of year. A normal amount of rain falls here at Spruceton Trail. May is when you get the most rain here; February is the month with the least moisture. Summertime highs at Spruceton Trail generally  
tend to be in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Spruceton Trail dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights.
