Put on your hiking shoes and hit the trail, Stimson Trail in Essex County, New York is such a great place. Far from civilization you find Stimson Trail and hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. Outdoors people generally like this part of New York.
All through the summer highs here at Stimson Trail get into the 70's; the night is a little chillier of course, usually in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's; overnight lows in the 0's |

for Stimson Trail. It's always splendid to visit Russell Falls, and some of the water nearby flows, like Icy Brook. And if that's not sufficient there's a heap more amusing stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. If you came to camp High Peaks Base Camp is a splendid site to do
| that, and get your heart beating on the brilliant whitewater of Ausable River - East Branch.
Stimson Trail gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Gravestone Brook is a good place to pop by. There's so much to do here at Stimson Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Paradise Pines Camping Resort is a delightful place for that; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend John's Brook.
