Locally, and on the NYNJTC maps, this is known as the Tuxedo-Mount Ivy Trail. There is a 'Hillburn-Torne-Sabago' trail that ends at the middle of the TMI. These are both in Harriman State Park. I'm not quite sure what the reference to 'Robert Moses' is all about, except perhaps the state park on Long Island, about equidistant, but in the opposite direction, from NYC-Newark-Edison. Gateway National Recreation Area, although very nice, is also nowhere near this trail.
