| | A long drive separates Kingston from Willow Trail, but it is a great escape from the city. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in nature a bit and if you happen to be in Ulster County of New York, Willow Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Catskill Mountains where wonderful nature is waiting for you. Camping at Sleepy Hollow Camp Site is always a perfect experience; you'll meet a lot of people from Kingston here.

a day at, Phoenicia Black Bear Campground & RV Park is a wonderful local campground, and you can run the rapids of Woodland Creek. Be careful coming to the Catskill Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Hoyt Hollow is a brilliant place to spend some time at, and
| get your heart pumping on the perfect whitewater of Stony Clove Creek.
A visit to New York is not complete without some hiking. All through the warmest time of the year at Willow Trail highs are ordinarily in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Willow Trail.
The high level of rain makes Willow Trail a pretty wet place; November is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. | |
