There's so much to do here at The Gulf Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Old Mans Cave Campground and Picnic Area is a good place for that; Hocking Hills Reservoir Dam is gorgeous. Hocking River is a nice whitewater spot right next door to The Gulf Trail, and if you came to camp Top Of The Caves Campground is a great site to do that. Through the summer months at The Gulf Trail highs are frequently in the 80's. Summer overnight     lows drop down to the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's with temperatures at The Gulf Trail dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. There's a tremendous forest close to The Gulf Trail called Hocking State Forest; Big Hole is undeniably a good location to visit.
