There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Ouachita Mountains where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains.

quite desolate area and hiking it is always fun. Through the summertime at Beaver Lodge Nature Trail temperatures are regularly in the 90's while nighttime lows are usually in the 60's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's
| overnight here at Beaver Lodge Nature Trail. Stephens Creek is a glorious local stream, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Mountain Fork.
Beaver Lodge Nature Trail is a wet location that gets a good deal of rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while January is frequently the driest month. Camping is available at Lake Pine Retreat Campground. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Ouachita Mountains, too wonderful to be true. Broken Bow Dam is an exciting thing to check out, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Outlaw Creek.
