  Hiking here in Oklahoma is a must. We all need to get out in nature once in a while and Black Fork Lateral in Pushmataha County, Oklahoma is a perfect place for getting out. So many cool things to do in the Ouachita Mountains, not enough time. There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Ouachita Mountains where wonderful nature is waiting for you.
All through the summer at Black Fork Lateral highs are generally in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. Through the winter highs are commonly in the 50's; nighttime lows during the winter for Black Fork
    Lateral tend to be in the 20's. The high level of precipitation makes Black Fork Lateral a quite wet place; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest of the months is January.
Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Little River, and a tremendous place
for whitewater paddling is Rocky Creek. Black Fork Lateral is a very long way away from civilization and when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person.
