Black Fork Trail

Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in nature a bit and Black Fork Trail in Pushmataha County, Oklahoma is a really good place to spend some time. In Oklahoma you never run out of outdoors fun. Black Fork Trail is located quite a long drive from McAlester but when you hike it you're always having a good time.
Hiking trails are all over the Ouachita Mountains where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. There are some glorious whitewater
spots on Little River, and camping at Indian Mounds Camp is always a good experience. Yeah, come up here to the Ouachita Mountains for a good time. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Rocky
Creek. If you came to camp Clancey's Cabins and RV Park is a wonderful spot to do that; lots of people from Nashoba come here. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Black Fork Trail with night lows in the 60's. During the winter highs are usually in the 50's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Black Fork Trail temperatures dip to the 20's. Black Fork Trail sees pretty high levels of rainfall. During May this area sees the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest.
