Iron Springs Trail is a very long way away from civilization and it is one of many great trails in this area. Man, is there plenty of exciting stuff to do in the Ouachita Mountains. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little River, and hey, Harris Creek is a great local stream. This part of Oklahoma is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season.

hiking trails where wonderful nature is waiting for you. Iron Springs is an inspiring spot to pop by while you're here, and whitewater paddling is tremendous on Rocky Creek.
Iron Springs Trail ordinarily gets a great deal of precipitation; May is when you get the most rain
| here, and January is when it's the driest. If you came to camp Indian Mounds Camp is a good place to do that. There's so much to do here at Iron Springs Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain Home RV Park is a tremendous location for that; swing by Cloudy Creek it's a pleasant spot to stop by.
For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Iron Springs Trail highs are usually in the 90's with night lows in the 60's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 50's; nighttime lows through the wintertime for Iron Springs Trail tend to be in the 20's. | |
