| | Allen Trail is not very near Chambersburg at all but there's great natural beauty awaiting you along it. Outdoors people generally like this part of Pennsylvania. A spree to The Narrows rejuvenates the soul, and there's whitewater on Licking Creek for all you thrill seekers. Throughout the warm months highs here at Allen Trail reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's while Allen Trail night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's.

You can run the rapids of Sideling Hill Creek right next door to Allen Trail, and this is a popular location for people from Chambersburg. The annual rain here at Allen Trail is about average; June is the month that gets the most rain; January is when it's the driest. | |
