Allen Trail

Pretty far from Chambersburg you find Allen Trail but it is a great escape from the city. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Big Cove Creek, and The Narrows is a great place to stretch your legs a bit. Why not camp at Burnt Cabins Grist Mill Ye Olde Mill Campground since you're here at Allen Trail, and at Allen Trail you always meet someone from Burnt Cabins. Nearby Allens Valley is a perfect place to go if you're at Allen Trail, and get yourself into
a kayak and hit Licking Creek. If you came for an overnight stay Mountain Lake Cabins is a delightful site to camp. Allen Trail gets a common amount of precipitation. Throughout June this area sees the most rain while January is the
month with the least amount of precipitation. At Allen Trail during the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's; the nighttime is somewhat chillier of course, mostly in the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are typically in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Allen Trail.
