| | Big Run Spur is a trail quite far from Sayre but hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. This part of Pennsylvania is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. Through the warm days of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Big Run Spur. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Big Run Spur dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights.
There's some flowing water close by, Tamarack Run is a stream you can go to while here; Big Run Spur is a fine place to |
visit for more than one day, Rocky Valley Campground is a fine place to camp nearby. Paddling on Little Loyalsock Creek is so much fun; a brilliant spot close by is Pleasant Valley. Pioneer Campground is a splendid campground nearby; needless to say Big Run flows through this vicinity.
| But wait, there's more to do close to Big Run Spur. There are plenty of people from Sayre here at Big Run Spur. Big Run Spur is a good place of normal rain; the month with most of the rain is June, and January meanwhile is the driest month. Loyalsock Creek has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by It's always wonderful to take a look at Cold Run Road Falls.
