| | If you are in Pennsylvania during hiking season you have to go hiking. Campfield Trail is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Snow Shoe Park is a nice local campground, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Moshannon River. Camping at Camp Blue Diamond is always a great experience.
Do stop at Dayton Dam if you're here at Campfield Trail, and get drenched paddling on Black Moshannon Creek. All the water falling down from the sky makes Campfield Trail a wet site; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February.

For the duration of the warm days of summer at Campfield Trail highs are mostly in the 70's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Campfield Trail during the winter mostly fall into the 10's.
