| | It's a long drive from Lewistown to Carlisle Gap Trail but It's always fun to hike here. A common amount of rainfall falls here at Carlisle Gap Trail; all through the month of June you get the most rain around here; January is when it's the driest.
During the long summer days here at Carlisle Gap Trail, high temperatures usually get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. During the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Carlisle Gap Trail drop into the 10's. |
This river has it all. Camping is available at Locust Campground. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Kishacoquillas Creek, and nearby Carlisle Gap is a great site to go.
Camping at Idle Acres Camping Area is always a glorious experience; if you're popping by from Lewistown, you won't be the only one.
