The yearly rainfall here at Carnes Trail is about average; the wettest month of the year is regularly July, that's the one that rains the most; January meanwhile is the driest month. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Flintstone Creek, and glide down the rapids of Town Creek in a kayak.
Black Valley Branch is a tremendous location to explore, and camping is available at Hidden Springs Campground. Summerville Gap is a nice spot to explore; why not camp at Rocky Gap State Park since |

All through the long summer days at Carnes Trail highs are ordinarily in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Carnes Trail temperatures fall to the 10's. Carnes Trail is a trail quite far from Cumberland but it is a really good trail.
