Daugherty Trail

  You'll have to go far from State College to get to Daugherty Trail but it's one of those places where hiking is great. Pennsylvania has so much to offer nature lovers. Summerson Run is a great local stream; paddling on Young Womans Creek is so much fun. When you're here at Daugherty Trail it's always fun to stop by Sinnemahoning State Park, and why not a little side tour to Short Bond Run. Daugherty Trail is a good place to visit for more than one day, Quiet
    Oaks Campground is a good place to camp nearby. A tremendous location in the neighborhood of Daugherty Trail is Slide Hollow; Kettle Creek State Park is a magnificent local campground. Whitewater paddling is fine on Cross Fork, and
this is a popular location for folks from Westport. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Daugherty Trail. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Daugherty Trail highs are generally in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Daugherty Trail drop into the 10's. Daugherty Trail  
generally gets a lot of precipitation. The month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is January.
