Lots of folks from State College come to Dead Horse Trail; in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Black Moshannon Creek. All the water falling down from the sky makes Dead Horse Trail a wet location; most of the rain falls through June while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
