| | Dillon Trail is located quite a long drive from Lock Haven but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. Pine Island Run is a splendid local stream, and Dillon Trail is a pleasant spot to visit for more than one day, Stony Fork Creek Campground is a pleasant spot to camp nearby.
Dillon Trail is in the vicinity of Steel Hollow which is absolutely worth going to; Pettecote Junction Campground is a tremendous local campground. A typical amount of rain falls here at Dillon Trail; June is the wettest month with most rain |
while January is generally the driest month. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Pine Creek.
Take a side tour to Clay Mine Run, and get your pulse rate up on the fine whitewater of Stony Fork Creek. During the months of summer, highs
| | commonly are in the 70's at Dillon Trail, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Dillon Trail sink into the 10's. | |
