Forbes Road Trail   My Boy Scout Troop and I made a run at this trail starting at Cowan's Gap State Park.  We made it about 5 miles before encountering ''STOP!'' ''NO TRESSPASSING!'' ''VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED!'' signs all the way across the trail and into the woods perpendicular to the trail.  This forces us to not proceed.  We chose instead to trudge our way down the mountain to the road and continue hiking until we reached a local campground where we stayed the night.  We have not returned due to the uncertainty of this trails continued existence.
