| | Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and if you happen to be in Bedford County of Pennsylvania, Gum Spring Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. While visiting this area in Pennsylvania it's a good idea to go hiking too. You'll have to go far from Cumberland to get to Gum Spring Trail but it is a great escape from the city. Gum Spring Trail is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Rocky Gap State Park is a delightful local campground, and Town Creek is a good whitewater spot nearby.

this area. If you came to camp Hidden Springs Campground is a brilliant place to do that, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Flintstone Creek. Gum Spring Trail gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain,

At Gum Spring Trail throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's while Gum Spring Trail night low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. | |
