Haines Path gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; January on the other hand is the driest. Camping at Mountain Lake Campground is always a wonderful experience; if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kishacoquillas Creek. Haines Gap is a tremendous spot to stop by close to Haines Path. Elk Creek is a glorious whitewater spot near Haines Path, and Haines Path is great enough     to spend more than a day at, Woodward Cave and Campground is a great local campground. A visit to Pennsylvania is not complete without some hiking. At Haines Path you always meet someone from Lewistown, and naturally Voneida Run is a picturesque stream that is worth going to. Summertime highs at Haines Path mostly tend to be in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's.
