  A long drive separates Sayre from Hickory Trail, but hiking it is great fun any time. Hickory Trail is a magnificent location to camp, Girl Scouts is a magnificent location, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Elk Creek. Summertime highs at Hickory Trail generally tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 60's. Highs all through the winter are typically in the 30's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Hickory Trail plunge into the 10's.
A quick visit to
    East Branch Mill Creek close to Hickory Trail is a good idea, and you're sure to bump into some good people from Sayre here. An average amount of precipitation falls at Hickory Trail; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while January is usually the driest month.
This river is a wonderful place to visit. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Hickory Trail has to offer, you can camp at Buttermilk Falls Campground, and there's whitewater on Miners Run for all you thrill seekers.
If you're here at Hickory Trail, you could pop by West Branch Mill Creek, and Hickory Trail is near Big Hollow which is definitely worth visiting. A visit to Pennsylvania is not complete without some hiking. Just can't get enough of Hickory Trail.
