| | Hines Trail is located quite a long drive from Winchester but it is a really good trail. A normal amount of rain falls here at Hines Trail; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month is January. During the warm months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Hines Trail. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and night lows at Hines Trail during the winter regularly plunge into the 10's.
Town Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby; camping at Rocky Gap State Park is |
always a magnificent experience. White Oak Hollow is right next door to Hines Trail and is a nice spot. Paddling on Fifteen Mile Creek is so much fun; if you came to camp Hidden Springs Campground is a wonderful place to do that.
