| | Gotta get out of the city man, and Hoagland Trail in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania is a good choice. Armenia Mountain Campground is a great campground nearby, and a forest nearby is Wyoming State Forest. You'll have to go far from Sayre to get to Hoagland Trail but when you hike it you're always having a good time.
You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting things the area near Hoagland Trail has to offer. Don't leave Hoagland Trail without first paying a visit to Buttermilk Falls. Hoagland Trail is a spot with many visitors from Sayre, |
and obviously Fall Run flows through this region. Buttermilk Falls Campground is a good local campground, and there are some great whitewater spots on Elk Creek.
During the summer months at Hoagland Trail highs are regularly in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of
| summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Hoagland Trail are in the 10's. A quick spree to Weed Creek in the vicinity of Hoagland Trail is a fine idea; there's whitewater on Miners Run for all you adrenaline kick people. Hoagland Trail gets a common amount of annual rainfall; the wettest month of the year is generally June, that's the one that rains the most, and January meanwhile is the driest month.
