Horseshoe Trail is not very near Chambersburg at all but what a great place for hiking it is. The Cove is a beautiful spot any time of year; Burnt Cabins Grist Mill Ye Olde Mill Campground is a great local campground.

Horseshoe Trail is a good location of common rainfall; June is the month that gets the most rain; January is when it's the driest. Gum Spring is a pretty place to visit while you're at Horseshoe Trail; nearby Cowans Gap is a pleasant place to go. So much cool stuff to do here at Horseshoe Trail, too great to be true. During your journey to Horseshoe Trail you'll meet some folks from Chambersburg for sure.
