  A long drive separates Lock Haven from Lecox Ridge Trail, but it is a really good trail. Hiking in Pennsylvania is such a great thing to do. Big Trestle Run flows through this region. There's so much to do here at Lecox Ridge Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Kearse's Campground is a perfect location for that.
Whitewater paddling is good on Slate Run; at Lecox Ridge Trail you always meet someone from Lock Haven. At Lecox Ridge Trail during the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. The wintertime
    comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Lecox Ridge Trail. This is such a fun river. While staying at Lecox Ridge Trail you could always look at Dead Horse Hollow. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lecox Ridge Trail has to offer, you can
camp at Pine Creek Valley Camping.
A quick visit to Big Spring Branch next to Lecox Ridge Trail is a magnificent idea, and Young Womans Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby.
