From a rainfall point of view Lockard Trail is a rather common site; the month with most of the rain is June; the driest of the months is January. Put some time aside to spend at Sand Spring while you're here at Lockard Trail; lots of folks from Chambersburg come here.
If you came for an overnight stay Saunderosa Park is a fine place to camp, and in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Licking |

Creek. High temperatures at Lockard Trail throughout the warmest time of the year are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lockard Trail. Whitewater paddling is splendid
| on Big Cove Creek.
