  Log Slide Trail is not very near Corning at all but hiking it is always fun. There's some flowing water close by, Roberts Branch is a stream you can stop by while you're here. In the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stony Fork Creek. Log Slide Trail is not far at all from Cowanesque, and let's not forget Sand Run which is a stream that you may stumble upon while you're here. Kearse's Campground is a great
    campground nearby, and Log Slide Trail is in close proximity to Osgood Hollow which is certainly worth going to. Pine Creek is a great whitewater spot in close proximity to Log Slide Trail, and Kenshire Campground is a perfect local
campground. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Leonard Harrison State Park is worth checking out if you're at Log Slide Trail, and everyone loves Bear Wallow. Throughout the summer at Log Slide Trail highs are frequently in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are regularly in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Log Slide Trail temperatures dip to the 10's. From a rainfall point of view Log
