Mackey Trail

  A visit to Pennsylvania is not complete without some hiking. Mackey Trail is a trail quite far from Chambersburg but it is a really good trail. Mackey Trail is a great site to visit for more than one day, Burnt Cabins Grist Mill Ye Olde Mill Campground is a great site to camp nearby. Lots of folks from Fannettsburg come to Mackey Trail, and you could always look at Bear Valley. Twin Bridge Meadow Family Campground is a glorious campground nearby; you can
    run the rapids of Licking Creek. A splendid location for whitewater paddling near Mackey Trail is Big Cove Creek. High temperatures at Mackey Trail through the long summer days are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures
descend down into the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Mackey Trail. An average amount of precipitation falls at Mackey Trail. Throughout the month of June you get the most rain around here; January meanwhile is the driest month.
