Martin Trail
| | You'll have to go far from Huntingdon to get to Martin Trail but it is a great escape from the city. This part of Pennsylvania is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. Float down the rapids of Kishacoquillas Creek in a kayak, and Martin Gap is unquestionably a delightful place to go to. A quick visit to Geisler Run near Martin Trail is a good idea. Area is a good spot for that. It's a tremendous idea to stop at East Branch Standing Stone Creek, it's close to Martin Trail, and Martin Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Hemlock Hideaway Campground is a great local
| campground. Lots of folks from Mc Veytown come to Martin Trail. From a rainfall point of view Martin Trail is a rather typical spot. The month with most of the rain is June; the driest of the months is January. Summertime at Martin Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Martin Trail temperatures fall to the 10's. | |
