It's a long drive from Lock Haven to McCloskey Trail but hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. McCloskey Trail gets a common amount of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is June while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you're here at McCloskey Trail, you could go to Ferney Run, and if you came to camp Little Place Camping Area is a glorious spot to do that. For the period of the warm months at McCloskey Trail highs are typically in the 80's while nighttime lows are generally     in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are generally in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for McCloskey Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Young Womans Creek offers some splendid whitewater, and camping at Sunrise Campgrounds is always a great experience. It's a great idea to visit McCloskey Run, it's near McCloskey Trail; there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Slate Run.
