Cedar Run is a nice whitewater spot close to Middle Ridge Trail; Kenshire Kampsite is a brilliant campground here. You'll have to go far from Corning to get to Middle Ridge Trail but it is a great escape from the city. Big Tree Hollow is in close proximity to Middle Ridge Trail and is definitely a glorious place to stop at; some nearby water includes Bear Wallow Branch.
