There are some splendid whitewater spots on Cross Fork; why not camp at Kettle Creek State Park since you're here at Mitchell Trail. Here at Mitchell Trail you'll probably meet some people from Westport, and if you came for an overnight stay Quiet Oaks Campground is a perfect location to camp. Take
    a side tour to Crawford Branch, and places like Sinnemahoning State Park are great to stop at. Lick Run is a splendid site to stop by; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Young Womans Creek.

There's always Kettle Creek Lake Dam to take a look at in close proximity to Mitchell Trail, and a fine place to stop by is Eightmile Dam Hollow. The warmest time of the year at Mitchell Trail comes with high temperatures in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's.
