| | You'll have to go far from Huntingdon to get to Mitchell Trail but it is one of many great trails in this area. While visiting this area in Pennsylvania it's a good idea to go hiking too. The good folks of Huntingdon like to hang out nearby. Mitchell Trail is a good place of normal rain; most of the rain falls through June while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
If you came for an overnight stay Brush Creek Campground is a nice location to camp, and drift down the rapids of Sideling Hill Creek in a kayak. Camping is available |
at Breezewood Campgrounds, and if you come at the right time of year, Licking Creek offers some fine whitewater.
All through the days of summer at Mitchell Trail highs are usually in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 30's while Mitchell Trail nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's.
