| | This part of Pennsylvania has a great deal of available outdoors activities. The warmest time of the year at Packer Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's, and night lows in the 10's for Packer Trail.
You're sure to run into some fine people from State College here; a good spot to stop by is Log Hollow. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do next to Packer Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything |
Packer Trail has to offer, you can camp at Snow Shoe Park, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Black Moshannon Creek.
Packer Trail gets a lot of water; June is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is
| January. This river is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Packer Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Fort Bellefonte Campground is a perfect spot for that, and why not a little side tour to Horse Fork. If you come at the right time of year, Moshannon River offers some great whitewater; do take a look at Second Fork if you're here at Packer Trail.
