| | A visit to Pennsylvania is not complete without some hiking. You'll have to go far from Lewistown to get to Phoenix Trail but it is a great escape from the city. South Branch Laurel Run flows through this area; camping at Phoenix Trail is great fun, Kennedy Valley Recreation Area is a great local campground. At Phoenix Trail throughout the summertime months highs are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Phoenix Trail.
