| | Pinnacle Trail is located quite a long drive from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. The high level of rainfall makes Pinnacle Trail a relatively wet spot; through June this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Whitewater paddling is great on Spring Brook; camping is available at Highland Camp Ground. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lackawanna River. Throughout the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Pinnacle Trail are in the 10's. Pinnacle Trail is a site with many visitors from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre, and if you came for an overnight stay How Kola Camp is a wonderful place to camp.
