Pitch Pine Trail is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Snow Shoe Park is a splendid local campground. Visit Summerson Run while you're here at Pitch Pine Trail, and camping at Austin Campground is always a perfect experience. A river     like this is too good to miss. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Young Womans Creek, and as expected Cole Run is a stunning stream that is worth taking a look at. High temperatures at Pitch Pine Trail throughout the summer are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Pitch Pine Trail temperatures drop to the 10's.
