No chance of getting bored in Pennsylvania if you like the outdoors. During your tour to Red Ridge Trail you'll meet some people from Lewistown for sure, and if you came for an overnight stay Hartman Center Camp Cnfrnc is a perfect spot to camp. Coming to this river is always a good idea. If you come at the right time of year, Elk Creek offers some delightful whitewater, and close by Skinall Gap is a wonderful site to go. High temperatures at Red Ridge Trail all through     the long summer days are in the 80's, and the night is rather cooler of course, commonly in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Red Ridge Trail dip into the 10's. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Kishacoquillas Creek, and Woodward Cave and Campground is a fine campground here.
