Red Rock Trail

Hiking here in Pennsylvania is a must. It's a long drive from Lock Haven to Red Rock Trail but trails like these are great. Leonard Harrison State Park is worth checking out if you're at Red Rock Trail, and the good people of Gaines like to hang out close by. Pettecote Junction Campground is a great campground nearby, and if you come at the right time of year, Cedar Run offers some tremendous whitewater. Some of the water close by flows, like Fahnestock Run,
and there are some glorious whitewater spots on Slate Run. Stay the night at Kearse's Campground; you could always look at Gleason Hollow. If you adore the outdoors, you'll like Red Rock Trail. Red Rock Run is a good local stream.
At Red Rock Trail all through the months of summer highs are in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Red Rock Trail are in the 10's. The annual rain here at Red Rock Trail is about average. June is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
