| | Gotta get out of the city man, and Refuge Trail in Bedford County, Pennsylvania is a really good place to spend some time. Outdoors people generally like this part of Pennsylvania. There are some nice whitewater spots on Town Creek, and it's a nice idea to stop at Little Bear Gap Run. Throughout the warm days of summer here at Refuge Trail, high temperatures generally reach the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while Refuge Trail overnight low temperatures through the |
winter are in the 10's.
Take some time to stop at Buchanan State Forest if you're here; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Flintstone Creek. Why not camp at Friendship Village since you're here at Refuge Trail, and a good place nearby
| is Sweet Root Gap. From a rain point of view Refuge Trail is a pretty normal site; June is the month that gets the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
