| | Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and if you happen to be in Bedford County of Pennsylvania, Refuge Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. With so many outdoors activities available in Pennsylvania you'll never get bored. If you came for an overnight stay Hidden Springs Campground is a fine site to camp, and a splendid place close by is Sweet Root Gap. The annual rain here at Refuge Trail is about average; through the month of June you get the most rain around here; October on the other hand is the driest.

go far from Cumberland to get to Refuge Trail but hiking it is always fun. In the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Town Creek, and don't forget to take a brilliant little tour to Little Bear Gap Run. Throughout the summer here at
| Refuge Trail, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while Refuge Trail nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's.
Whitewater paddling is delightful on Flintstone Creek; Buchanan State Forest is a good forest neighborhood nearby. Rocky Gap State Park is a delightful campground nearby. | |
