  Refuge Trail is not very near Scranton—Wilkes-Barre at all but hiking it is great fun any time. Finally, hiking time is here again, and Refuge Trail in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania is a great place to go. There are some good whitewater spots on Bear Creek, and since you're here, you could go to Spring Run.
If you come at the right time of year, Spring Brook offers some good whitewater. There's so much to do here at Refuge Trail that you need to camp here for a while, WT Family Camping is a brilliant place for that. Refuge Trail is not far at
    all from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre, and if you came to camp Lake Greeley Camp is a great site to do that.
A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Refuge Trail; July is when you get the most rain here, and January is when it's the driest. All through the summer months at Refuge
Trail highs are usually in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Refuge Trail.
