| | A long drive separates Scranton—Wilkes-Barre from Refuge Trail, but it is a fun place to hike for the whole family. A river like this is too good to miss. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bear Creek, and why not camp at Lehigh Gorge Campground since you're here at Refuge Trail. Spring Brook is a glorious whitewater spot near Refuge Trail, and a good spot to camp here at Refuge Trail is WT Family Camping.
