A nice site to camp here at Refuge Trail is Sharon's Place, and get yourself into a kayak and hit White Deer Creek. The wonderful folks of Williamsport like to hang out close by, and if you come at the right time of year, Larrys Creek offers some glorious whitewater. Refuge Trail gets a typical amount of yearly rain; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. Near Refuge Trail you stumble     on good sites like Fourth Gap, and camping at Susquehanna Campground is always a great experience. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Refuge Trail; the overnight is slightly cooler of course, mostly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Refuge Trail tend to be in the 10's.
