| | It's a long drive from State College to Savage Trail but hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. Onion Run is a beautiful stream that is worth visiting, and why not camp at Snow Shoe Park if you're here at Savage Trail. Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and Savage Trail in Clinton County, Pennsylvania is a good choice.
Savage Trail sees pretty high levels of rainfall; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. This river is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for |
everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Cross Fork; Savage Hollow is another glorious spot to stop at nearby. There's whitewater on Moshannon River for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
Visit Lick Run while you're here at Savage Trail, and a magnificent spot to camp here
