There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Cross Fork, and if you came for an overnight stay Ole Bull State Park is a good place to camp. The amount of precipitation that falls at Sawmill Trail is close to the national average; all through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. You'll have to go far from Lock Haven to get to Sawmill Trail but it is a good trail.
