Put on your hiking shoes and hit the trail, Shanty Point Trail in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania is a great place to go. Pennsylvania has lots of outdoors activities. For the period of the days of summer at Shanty Point Trail highs are commonly in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Shanty Point Trail.

Take a side spree to Bluestone Run, and there are some perfect whitewater spots on Slate Run. Shanty Point Trail is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Little Pine State Park is a nice local campground, and hey, Solomon Run is a fine local stream. | |
