Hiking here in Pennsylvania is a must. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Miners Run. At Short Trail all through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Short Trail plunge into the 10's. Soar down the rapids of Elk Creek in a kayak, and camping at Girl Scouts is always a great experience. The annual precipitation     here at Short Trail is about average; June is when you get the most rain here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. East Branch Mill Creek flows through this area; if you came to camp Buttermilk Falls Campground is a nice spot to do that.
