Silas Trail

  Silas Trail is located quite a long drive from Winchester but you always have a good time when you're hiking along it. Camping at Little Orleans Campground is always a good experience; Cacapon State Park is a perfect location to stretch your legs a bit. Here at Silas Trail there are plenty of folks from Artemas, and do visit Johnson Branch if you're here at Silas Trail. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Sideling Hill Creek. Camping is available
    at Fifteen Mile Creek Campground, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Town Creek. Blackberry Lick Run is a great place to check out. For the duration of the summer months at Silas Trail temperatures are typically in the 80's;
the nighttime is slightly chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 30's while Silas Trail night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. From a precipitation point of view Silas Trail is a relatively typical place. July is when you get the most rain here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
