| | A visit to Pennsylvania is not complete without some hiking. It's a long drive from Lock Haven to Slide Hollow Trail but hiking it is always fun. Slide Hollow Trail is not far at all from Lock Haven; camping at Bellefonte/State Coll KOA is always a nice experience. Some of the water close by flows, like Twin Run, and Elk Creek is a good whitewater spot close by.
The warmest time of the year at Slide Hollow Trail comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in |
the 30's with temperatures at Slide Hollow Trail dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Monument Run is a great local stream, and a magnificent place for whitewater paddling is Young Womans Creek.
A wonderful spot to stop at near Slide Hollow Trail is Slide Hollow;
