Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in nature a bit and Smith Trail in Centre County, Pennsylvania is a perfect place for getting out. A good spot to take a look at in the vicinity of Smith Trail is Smith Gap, and the wonderful folks of Lewistown like to hang out nearby. There's so much to do here at Smith Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Seven Mountains Campground is a wonderful place for that;     Penn Nursery Dam is a spot that is next to Smith Trail. So many enjoyable things to do here at Smith Trail, too great to be true. Drift down the rapids of Elk Creek in a kayak. If you come to this river you will have a good time for sure. Get wet paddling on Kishacoquillas Creek, and Britton Run is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out. Smith Trail gets a normal amount of rainfall; June is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is January. During the summertime months highs here at Smith Trail reach the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows at Smith Trail all through the wintertime typically fall into the 10's. This part of Pennsylvania is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. You'll need more   than a day to look at everything Smith Trail has to offer, you can camp at Bob Kearns Campgrounds, and Faust Flat is a great location to stretch your legs a bit.
