| | Pretty far from Chambersburg you find Smith Trail but it is a really good trail. This is a really good river. Skinner Gap is close to Smith Trail and is without doubt a brilliant place to take a look at, and camping at Saint Johns Church Camp is always a tremendous experience. High temperatures at Smith Trail through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 30's while Smith Trail nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's.

there are plenty of folks from Chambersburg, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Sideling Hill Creek. Smith Trail gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; the month with most of the rain is June while January is generally the driest month. Smith Trail is glorious
| enough to spend more than a day at, Twin Bridge Meadow Family Campground is a glorious local campground, and if you come at the right time of year, Licking Creek offers some glorious whitewater.
Gotta get out of the city man, and if you happen to be in Franklin County of Pennsylvania, Smith Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. | |
